Elected in January 2020, Chief Collier, a veteran police officer who, once in office, immediately restructured the Benton Police department by streamlining daily operations and replacing outdated equipment. Chief Collier put a new shine on the badge of the Benton Police Department. . He worked with Chiefs from around the state to improve safety protocols and purchased the latest protective gear for his officers. Chief Collier also started the first "Less than Lethal" weapons training programs in Benton using the latest technology available. Chief Collier has expanded the areas of training for all his officers to include diversity training and counseling for officers when needed. With funds from the American Rescue Act, Chief Collier updated the police units by purchasing four new SUV's and new in car cameras and body worn cameras for both officer safety and to ensure the safety of the citizens of Benton.

A United States Army veteran, Officer Bates is also a seasoned law enforcement officer with the Benton Police since 2000. With a degree from Ayers Institute Career College in Security Specialist. Also attended BPCC and studied criminal justice. Officer Bates has an extensive background in law enforcement training and holds holds multiple certifications in the areas of corrections officer, chemical weapons training, and security specialist. Officer Bates has been one of the top advisors to the current Chief and as well as previous chiefs of police in Benton. Currently he works with police personnel to continuously improve the reporting system for a more accurate record of events. Officer Bates plays a key role in the current administration and is a dedicated supporter of the Benton Community.

Officer Weaver joined the Benton Police force in 2019 bringing 38 years of Law Enforcement experience with him. He is a veteran of the US Navy where he spent six years as a Diver for a Special Ops team. His career in law enforcement started in Eldorado Arkansas then later he moved to Louisiana where he continued his training with the Bossier Parish Sheriff Department. Officer Weaver, specializes in SWAT, Radar, DWI, and Law Enforcement Instructor. Officer Weaver is a accomplished law enforcement officer who works with new officers in continuing their training making them patrol ready. Officer Weaver has been a valuable asset for the Benton Police Department
